1. License grant
Subject to payment and compliance with this Agreement, Thinwork grants the named user a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable perpetual license to install and use the eligible dbSlice Desktop version on one activated device.
2. Included period
The purchase includes updates and standard support for 12 months from the transaction date. After that period, optional maintenance may provide continued access to new versions and support. Declining maintenance does not terminate use of the last version for which the license remains eligible.
3. GUI and CLI
The Desktop license covers the graphical application and command-line execution by the licensed user. Shared service, hosted, unattended multi-user, redistribution or organization-wide deployment requires a separate written agreement.
4. Restrictions
You may not resell, sublicense, publish, rent, share license credentials, remove notices, bypass activation, or reverse engineer the software except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. You may not use evaluation keys in production or outside their approved scope.
5. Customer responsibilities
You are responsible for lawful database access, backups, permissions, source and target selection, testing, and verification of operations. Use least-privilege database accounts and validate changes outside production before critical runs.
6. Activation and updates
Activation may use the purchaser email and a device identifier. Signed update packages may be checked online. Restricted and offline environments require an assisted process agreed with Thinwork.
7. Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. Thinwork and its licensors retain all intellectual-property rights not expressly granted.
8. Warranty and liability
The software is provided with the warranties required by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted, Thinwork is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected license. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
The license terminates upon material breach that is not cured when cure is possible. On termination, use must stop and copies must be removed. Perpetual rights remain effective while this Agreement is followed.
